I've heard her on the radio here in DFW. She is definitely strong 2A supporter. You read her right on CHL, she thinks the only CHL we need is a birth certificate.
(I guess that means Obama would be defenseless)

I know she's way to the right of most of us, and she's a long shot to even make the ticket.
But if she does well in the primary, she could at least signal the winning candidate that a large portion of the electorate wants a very conservative platform.

She has a shot a beating KBH. I'll be voting for medina in the primary at least. And if I can help her campaign I will.

in reading about her on the web she is just like every other politician.

Long on hot button generalizations and short on details or declarative statements.

I found NOTHING in writing that said anything about her wanting to end the CHL law in a positive way.
Even if she said that all that should be required is a birth cert, that doesn't say what she plans to do to get there ....

On the JD Wells show she was a bit more specific.
That bit about the birth certificate was my words, not hers.

Check these, particularly the Jeff Bolton shows

Here is a link to what she has to say about gun ownership -- surprised nobody checked her website.

I knew I had read a lengthy treatise from her somewhere. That paragraph pretty much did it for me.
Perry can show up at the range for some back-slapping and photo ops, but he still tried to ram the TTC down our ...throats.
Thanks for posting that.

I don't know about you guys, but I have met some downright disturbing people who would pick up a gun and carry it tomorrow if the Texas chl law was revoked. On another note, without a license we would lose the ability to carry concealed in other states that we now have reciprocity with, accept for the very few who allow open carry and the one state that doesn't have a licensing system, it's one of those northern states, I just forgot which...

So, perhaps we do like Alaska -- license-free open or concealed in state, but have a CHL-type license available for use in other states.

Well, all I can say is, I could have sworn when I read you post, that the link was not to her site. Guess you COULD have mentioned that it was. Anyway, apologies if you feel I've slighted you. :rock"

I heard a paid radio spot from her today. (740 in Houston) Her support of gun rights was very clear. Although its only fair to remember that Perry has always supported us. Right now I see the choices as TTC or Medinas insane sale tax plan.. I guess I could live with Medina and shop more in Arkansas or LA or even better shop on the internet.

Innocent until proven guilty or found mentally incompetent. It would be a level playing field without restrictions, but all the players would not be on the level. Which brings us around to considering once again the aspect of legal open carry, with concealed carry illegal. That's the way it was back in the day when only scoundrels and ruffians carried concealed weapons about them. Real men carried in your face, and that most likely worked better on balance than Texas handgun law does today.

I believe that you are referring to Vermont. IIRC you can carry open or concealed
in Vermont, no CHL equivalent needed, "as long as you have no bad intent" or
words to that effect.

But since Vermont doesn't issue a CHL, reciprocity is a big problem if you want to
carry outside the Green Mountain State.

*************************************************************************************************

In case of danger, Republican gubernatorial hopeful Debra Medina legally totes
a 9 mm pistol (with a 16-round magazine) in a zippered case in her car.

That's great that she's a 2A supporter, but her carry style doesn't seem very effective,
and letting it be known publicly is not very advisable either.
