If you dont own large amounts of land, where do you shoot a full auto in Texas?

The same places you shoot semi-autos of the same calibers. Sure... some ranges don't allow NFA firearms, just as some don't allow presentation from the holster, but those are both good reasons to patronize a different range. That's particularly true given the current economic situation.

I've heard the Austin Chief wont sign for off on Suppressors, but is cool with Short barreled and Machine guns.

I've shot full auto at DFW Gun Range and at friends' land.

I went the trust route b/c nobody would sign in Harris county, but now we're hearing that Adrian Garcia will sign.

People have actually had Garcia sign off on Form 4's? If that's true, Talon Arms will probably be getting a call from me later this year about an SWR Spectre.

There is also talk that the DA (Pat Lycos) will too. I personally haven't had any experience with either one...so take it with a grain of salt. My good buddy was doing some remodeling on Adrian's house, but he never actually asked him point blank about it unfortunately. I guess the only real way to find out is to call their offices and ask. But yeh whenever you're ready just call Rob.

I dont think it is illegal to CCW it, but I would have a copy of your tax stamp in your wallet.

Correct. Actually you can carry a concealed (legally registered) machine gun too, though it might not be a good idea. The legal federal registration of a machine gun, silencer, short barreled shotgun is a "defense to prosecution" of possessing Prohibited Weapons under Texas PC 46.05.

That means it would be a good idea to carry proof of your registration. Then again, when the Texas CHL law was first passed, having a CHL was only a "defense to prosecution" too , so I don't get too worried doing things where I have a clear "defense to prosecution". That doesn't mean I pack a machine gun or silencer, but I could if I wanted too.

At the GRB show Saturday, I heard some yahoo telling someone the reason his Glock was compensated was because it has a selector switch. And then he proceeded to draw the pistol to show off the switch.

I'm pretty sure they're all post-'86, so therefore unavailable except to the government or as dealer samples.

Well Mark I don't play computer games, which I'm assuming Call of Duty Modern Warefare 2 is. That's for the younger crowd. My grandson might, but I don't. And I haven't seen Dark Knight. That's for the younger crowd.

Touche`. I'm old....not ancient. I saw the first runs of Batman on TV in the mid 60's, plus a few of the movies in the past 10 or 20 years. I'll wait until it comes out on Direct TV. But I have heard it's a good movie.

Why do I need a reason other than "It's cool and I want one"? Most of us own a number of guns we will probably never do anything with except shoot at the range.
