I would also strongly recommend The Safe Company in Garland. Their service and delivery was excellent. I believe they carry the whole Champion line.
I bought my Liberty from the same place in Garland. It was a 1199.00 safe but a floor model and had obviously been carted around to many gun shows cause it had a few chips in the paint on the sides and back. Front was perfect and got it for 899. Fire rated for 30 minutes and plenty big for my measly collection **GRIN**.
I recommend that you stay away from the electronic (push button locking systems). A S&G tumbler locking system has been a solid lock for many years and does not require batteries.

The new champion safe was delivered today. Sure looks bigger in my home than in the showroom. Looks like it's going to be a keeper. The guys from Lone
Star Safes did a good job getting it moved in.
It is nice having all that room for the guns and related goodies.
So far looks like the best "bang for the buck". It's a Trophy series, i think about 26 long gun capacity along with some handguns.

DItto...I have a Champion safe being delivered Thursday morning coming from Lone Star Safe co. They were a pleasure to deal with and very fair on price and service. Its not in my house yet, but I would recommend them again without hesitation. Thanks for all the input and suggestions.

Delivery and installation really are the key these days...And making sure you find a service to help you get it moved again when you pull up stakes is a good thing as well...
That little safe company over on the northside west bound feeder road near Normandy and I-10 is where I got mine, and I know he'll be around, and or accessable (trackable) in the future when I need him then...
I see him every now and then at the local gunshows in Houston, so I know he is still in business...
Glad it all worked out...
Now you have some work to do to fill the new one up...Fun!!!

This is the one I will be buying.
http://www.sturdysafe.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have spoken to the owner personally and he knows his stuff. They are an individually owned shop and hand build each safe to the customer's specifications. All of the reviews I have read have been outstanding.
