Now that was great Annoyed Man! I like the HK part. At least he would have looked cool!

So I'm clueless whats the deal with an ACR why should I drop 3k when I could get 6 Shotguns or 4 Handguns or 3 AKs, or 2 ARs for the same price?
I have never played the game, but you're talking about a modular rifle that will shoot both 5.56 and 6.8SPC. 6.8SPC has a greater lethality, even with OTM and ball ammo than the 5.56 for obvious reasons. I suspect the game developers knew this from the get go, and designed it that way.gregthehand wrote:Also the ACR is a man stopper on that game. I shoot people all the time with a 3-shot burst from my M-16 or a couple rounds from my FN-FAL and they just keep on trucking. Two shots from an ACR kills you quick though. There is actually a consensus that the ACR in the game is over-powered. I mention when I hear this that Bushmaster is coming out with it on the civi market soon and the game is like a big add campaign.
No need for an ACR. Just put a 6.8 upper on your AR. I have owned one since the 6.8 came out.I have never played the game, but you're talking about a modular rifle that will shoot both 5.56 and 6.8SPC. 6.8SPC has a greater lethality, even with OTM and ball ammo than the 5.56 for obvious reasons. When the designers of the original Metal Gear Solid started, they were all flown from Japan to the US and got to handle and shoot all the weapons that were proposed in the game. The designers from Japan had never even seen or touched REAL guns before. They got to handle everything from full auto MP5's, to suppressed HK45, to RPG and frag grenades. They wanted to game to be a real as possible and the only way to do that is to put it in motion and hands on.PeteCamp wrote:No need for an ACR. Just put a 6.8 upper on your AR. And not to insult anyone, but I doubt most game developers have ever heard a real gunshot, much less know anything about lethality.

Modern Warfare 2 is the most realistic first person shooter game released in my opinion. I have played everything from Wolfenstein/Doom to Modern Warfare and everything in between. And have shot many of the weapons on these games and I think the designers do a great job making them realistic.
