Well I'm unapologetic about puting cars in the Garage. A security system for my cars is cheaper and better than anything I have in my garage. And my ratty sidekick convertable is more weather resistant than my tools, gardening and other equipment .. unless one has a barn or other back building I can't understand why one would waste valuable storage space with a car.

I have never been one to worry about my car.....it is a Corolla and there are fifty more of them at any given dealership on the Gulf Freeway. I keep three burned CD's and some pepper spray in the console. No big loss....

That said, we do keep our vehicles in the garage 100% of the time when we are home. This is a result of one of our neighbors making the statement, " We never know when you guys are home or not"! I like it! That bit of advantage is enough reason for me.

This is why I do not have a garage door opener...

Oh, wait a second, I do...All I have to do is keep her fed, and watered...bingo...

If I do not post in the next couple of days...Well...Somebody send in a search party...

As they say, that's not a bug, it's a feature!

The emergency cord is designed to be accessed with the flat metal hook, for emergency access by the fire department.

I keep things simple my garage door opener just happens to be my right arm and it has never failed to open or close the door when needed to get my truck in or out. I keep my truck inside because vandals are bad in the area plus I try to keep the house looking pretty much the same weather I am home or not and with fairly unpredictable hours who knows if I am gone or when I will return this could be a big problem for a BG not to mention the puppy (husky/wolf mix) likes to be inside.

Rather then cutting it off, just wrap it around the bracket that it attaches to the door with.

Unless I am on an out of town trip, I cannot even hope to remember the last time my car had to sit outside in the elements! If it is at home, it is garaged!
