I don't have a domestic violence arrest but I think the newsworthiness arrests depends on a lot of factors.
Most of us could have an affair and wreck our car and it wouldn't get half the press of Tiger Woods doing the same.

I've had encounters with some stinkers, like the guy, a very long time ago, that gave me a ticket for speeding (when I wasn't) because my mother failed his daughter in school.
That LEO's stay level headed at all is a wonder. I can't imagine the pressure they're under, when even a "routine" traffic stop can end in death. Hard job.
