I love my CX4, for what it is.... a light, tough, accurate pistol round carbine. I have a tac light on the pull out lower front rail, and a low end long eye relief scope. I was using an ATN heads up sight, but just didn't like the on-off switch and potential for battery failure. Out of the 16 inch barrel you really only gain about 100 fps, and a bit of energy gain over a pistol, but accuracy is (for me anyway) greatly enhanced. Standing, I can keep them all in a paper plate at 50 yards, and benched can keep them in a 4 inch circle at 50 yards. At 100 yards from the bench I can easily keep them in the paper plate. Considering the CX4 to be for close quarters and out to 50 yards, it will pretty well cover my entire 1/2 acre "estate".
Also, for those interested, "Mr. Rogers" of the berettaforum fame, has designed and now manufactures improved, adjustable trigger groups for the CX4, as well as a few other parts. They are being sold through Brownells under the name "SierraPapa", I believe. I would like to have the adjustable trigger in my CX4 9mm.
