Chas.
Never heard of this. What was it? (altho I think I have a good idea just from the title).
BTW, ain't no way Bill White should be governor. Or mayor for that matter.
When SB501 passed taking 30.06 away from governmental agencies, the City of Houston under then-Mayor Lee P. "out-of-town" Brown instituted a policy of requiring all armed CHL's coming into certain city buildings to wear a special visitors badge. The badge was red and had "CHL VISITOR" in big letters. Mayor White continued the policy.
Chas.

Aha. How cute. I wonder how often that was ignored.
Thanks for explaining.

Wow, that is one of the goofiest laws I have read about in a long while. Might as well tell people to open carry at that point.
Does the NRA pass out questionnaires to the candidates? It would be interesting to see how each man answers "gun related" questions.

We can’t open carry in Texas because it might scare the sheep. Instead we have to wear a bright red sign proclaiming that we are carrying a gun under our shirts. Positively brilliant.
The anti-gun crowd never ceases to amaze me with their stupidity.

I may not be thrilled with Rick Perry but he's miles ahead of Bill White.
Yes. That was a real newspaper ad from Bill White.

Primary opinions aside, now that Perry has the nomination, I doubt that there will be much an of an issue getting him elected. We ALL still need to vote though.

It doesn't take that long, and it is an important duty as citizens to cast your vote based on knowledge.
The TSRA guide is a very good place to start.
Couldn't agree more. Those who reach statewide and national elections are seldom newcomers to the election process. Accordingly, it is wise to catch a cancer early.....

Ha-ha, I am not sure about Obama being on the same level as Dr. Martin Luther King..... that is funny.
And I guess his two favorite inventions are electricity and the snuggie?
