Speedaedeesi, it's not too much hassle to apply as Active Military, even after you get out. DPS allows you up to 365 days after your discharged to qualify for that condition. You can just use your DD-214 showing Honorable discharge, dated within 365 and you get a FREE CHL. Don't forget that you can also use your range training scores from the Military to skip the proficiency part of the Instructor class, so you would just need to take the classroom portion.
