				Best of both worlds.
Get the .40 and buy the 9mm conversion barrel. Carry the .40 & plink with the 9mm.

Good choice from a .45 carrier. Shot placement & practice are still the key to survival. 9mm is the most economical ammo. I am not sure but in some places the .40 is as much as the .45. Practice. Shot Placement. practice shot placement. Practice Shot Placement. PRACTICE SHOT PLACEMENT.

That is what I thought but people keep saying to get one so I wanted to make sure. That would be the best.

I did some checking.
Yes they have barrels for the 4" and the 5" but not the 3".
Oh, well... was a good thought.
I bought the 9 service, so since you can't go up, I'm stuck with the 9mm. If I had it to do again, I probably would have gone with the .40 service then gotten the 9mm barrel.
but not possible with the SC.
sorry

				Bummer.
Can you use a 4" barrel in a 3" frame?

I have found I like both in different setups. I carry a Desert Eagle Compact i na .40, I think it is a better defensive bullet. Although on the weekends I carry a Kel-tec 9mm for a pocket carry. Like most in here say, shot placement is king. I just prefer the bigger slug, I wish my gun came ina .45acp.
IMHO!

I went with the .40 for carry, then went out and purchaced a 9mm. Ammo costs was a factor when your shooting 2000+ rounds a month. I liked the XD and compared it to my Glock 23...I like them both.
Good luck in making your decision.

I emailed EFK asking: Will you be offering a barrel conversion to take a .40 SC to a 9mm SC?
And his reply was: YES ON OR ABOUT OCT 15th
