Drew,
You are right that government bends to the will of the vocal majority. I sometimes wonder why some countries, states and cities have such restrictive gun laws on law abiding citizens (Australia, the U.K., D.C. and Chicago come to mind) yet people keep electing the same type of people to office. :mad5 Also I wonder why we fight for their rights (I am a member of the NRA) when they won’t even do so at the polls. :mad5

I personally would still carry concealed in most places if open carry was allowed. I would not want to make parents with children uneasy in a restaurant or any other place. Also if the place was robbed I would not want the criminal to see my gun and shoot me (and my wife in the process) first.

I'm right there with you.

I don't know that I would open carry either. But it wouldn't bother me to see others do it.
