Times change. China is now more capitalist than some of those Yankee states.

The fact that China now has some elements of a capitalist economy does not change the fact that it is an undemocratic country whose rulers have the best interest of the U.S. in mind exactly the way that a farmer has the best interest of his cow in mind.

Capitalist country run by a Communist Oligarchy. None of these equate to a Democratic or Republic form of government IMHO.

Boycotting and insisting others boycott reminds me of the time many were down on Smith & Wesson for their cooperation with the Clinton regime.

During that time, I had a friend who started ranting and raving at me when I told him I was buying a S&W.

My response: I make my decisions at my behest - not his or anybody elses'.

Do such decisions make me a pariah in the eyes of others?

Perhaps, but my decisions are made by me, not by others who may insist they know what's best for all.

FYI..most American Flags are made in China while Fortune cookies are made in the U.S. :???:
The History Channel aired a series on the history of various foods a while back. It said that the fortune cookie was an American invention that did not reach China until 1989, and that it was known in China as the "Genuine American Fortune Cookie".
