I used to live in Maryland, North of Baltimore. I was a project manager for a construction company and one of my duties was taking care of the payroll checks on a weekly basis.It is impossible unless you know someone in the state police, they are the ultimate authority. I know with latest SCOTUS determination things may change, but things don't change quickly there. Good luck with the move, I lived in Harford County NE of Balt, nice area but be prepared for the shock of realestate costs.

There is absolutely no chance you will get a Concealed Carry Permit in Maryland. When I lived there I went to the State Police Barracks to get the paperwork to merely apply for one, and was denied even receiving the paperwork. At the time I was making cash deposits from a retail store in excess of $25,000 daily. Also (unless it has changed since I left) having a firearm improrerly stored when travelling though Maryland is a "will arrest" offense as opposed to a "may arrest." In other words the Officer has no discretion. My girlfriend's father had a permit, but he was retired law enforecment, and held a position in the political system that put him in danger from ex-cons. Live in VA in make the commute!
