Thanks for the help. I knew the sig is an awesome gun. I bought my first sig around 1997 I think. It is a P239 .40 and I still carry and shoot it today. I just thought I might have gotten a good deal on the P220. Turns out I got an average deal from the prices I have seen lately. I will check under the slide for any markings. Thanks again for the info.

I'm fairly certain you have a German made Sig. As soon as Sigarms moved production to the U.S., the slides started having external extractors, not an internal one like yours. I have seen this as early as 2004. Also, many of the Sig P-series handguns since 2006-7 have rails on them. I used to be one of the biggest Sig fans out there, and I still am. But recently Sig's QC has been a little suspect, at least compared to when Sigs were exclusively manufactured in Germany. Not only that, but there are just so many models and trim levels that it's just mind-boggling to keep track of them. But I digress. Regardless, I'm thinking you have a German Sig and that is a very good thing.
