Exactly!!!! Cash is the gift that just keeps on giving...LOL.seamusTX wrote:I have always told my bosses that were not beneath contempt, just give me the cash. Even if someone wanted to give me a firearm, I might not appreciate their choice. I might prefer an over-under shotgun or one of those Italian faux cowboy revolvers.

Well, my friends who bought all the guns for employees said that if they gave a guy a bonus check, his wife got it, but if they gave him a gun, he got to keep it.
Re: Buying 2 handguns at once
Even that might not work. My wife got the last one I bought me.

This is the one gift I have never received in the right size. It is always too small.Oldgringo wrote:PLUS - it's the right size and the right color.03Lightningrocks wrote:Exactly!!!! Getting back to the posters question, I believe I have read in the past on more then one occasion that the chief cop (sheriff I believe) in the purchasers county is also notified. Does anyone know if this is true?

I don't know about that. I do know that the dealer mails one copy to the state police. One time the New Mexico state police called the gun shop in Hobbs where I worked and asked what they were supposed to do with that. The store owner said that he didn't know, he just knew he was supposed to send them that copy, lol.stash wrote:Getting back to the posters question, I believe I have read in the past on more then one occasion that the chief cop (sheriff I believe) in the purchasers county is also notified. Re: Buying 2 handguns at once
The BATFE FAQ that I referred to earlier says, "another copy must be forwarded to the State police or local law enforcement agency where the sale occurred."
