If we get on in Lubbock I'd be willing to meet a few folks in Seminole and/or Seagraves with my Suburban for the trip to Lubbock (Can seat up to 7 plus driver, one spot would probably be taken by a friend) . Save a few folks a little travel costs and driving.

I'll warn you. . . a lot of us Fort Worth guys don't drive into Dallas. . . and we'll be quick to remind people that we don't live in Dallas or the "Dallas area". D/FW is accurate, but I prefer "Fort Worth". I won't even go to http://www.espnDallas.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; because it's obviously not going to have any news for me. :tiphat:

Anyway, I'm not really in the market for a seminar right now, but it'd have to be in Fort Worth or NE Tarrant county for my wife or I to go.

(Yes, I know many people in Dallas who feel the same way in reverse. . . never having crossed past the airport.)

Dallas is about 270 miles from my home in Friendswood. How far is it from Fort Worth to Dallas?

The "distance" I'm talking about can't be measured in miles. . .

Sorry if I'm pulling this off topic. I don't want to distract from your actual question.

If it helps, one of your seminars is probably on the short list of things that could entice us into entering Dallas county or Dallas city limits. I don't even like going through Dallas to get to Tyler. I'm glad the Rangers are in Arlington - that's for sure! :txflag:

Red River BBQ in League City is a LOT closer to you than either Dallas or Ft. Worth, and they have a large back room.

(and League City could be considered Houston area, right?)

I'm just sayin'...

We're going to be doing seminars all over the State, including the Houston area.

Well..... I actually reside in Plano but respect where you decide to put on a seminar within a 75 mile radius of me. If you can put 270+ miles on the clock, the least I can do is pay you for your time and drive into what ever City works out for a location. I personally think you will find that the majority of folks in the DFW metroplex, feel the same. Please do put our area on your calender, regardless of location. Thanks in advance! :tiphat:

03lightningrocks,
I agree with you 110%, Charles is doing this as a service to us. If he has a class in Lubbock, I'll drive the 3 hrs to get there, Good Lord willing, because its further for him to go to Lubbock than me. Heck time permitting, I might even drive to Dallas to fill up some of the seats vacated by some people from Ft Worth not being able to be seen in Dallas. :fire

Silly newb question... what kind of cost would be associated with the seminar? That would be the biggest determinant on our attendance.

It doesn't look like parking will be a problem in Lufkin.

My seminars have always been free and I intend to keep it that way. If I have to fly or pay for a meeting room, then there will be a fee to cover those expenses, but there may be another funding source.

I don't see what the problem is. You can take 287 to Corsicana and then take 31 to Tyler. You wouldn't even come within smellin' distance of Dallas.

All depends on how badly you want to avoid Dallas. :evil2:

Tyler would be good...even better than Lufkin.

Wherever...what is the agenda? Is this a one day event for all seminars or is an overnight stay required?
