Who cares what "people say"? It's about personal preference and individual confidence in their chosen weapon/ammo combination.7075-T7 wrote:Pawpaw wrote:I have a P239 in 9mm and love it.
Still, my P239 is my EDC until I finish breaking in & testing my new Kimber. I doubt I'll ever sell it though. It just works.
Why mess with .357 sig when 10mm is out there, or 9x25 dillon.
Plus, when you say you shoot .357 sig people go "oooooohhhhhhhhh, those are powerful" and leave you alone.
When you say you shoot 10mm, people go "oh, so it's like a bigger 9mm" and then they crowd you at the range... until you empty a mag, then they leave
.357 Sig is a formidable round, by all accounts. My understanding is that the bottleneck round also suffers from far fewer feeding issues.
Still, I'm liking the 1911 format and the big holes a .45ACP makes. The (surprising to me) fact that my Kimber Ultra CDP II is a bit smaller than my P239 is just a bonus.

EDIT: My post was in no way intended to be argumentative. After re-reading it, I can see where it might seem that way. Just wanted to make it clear that it ain't so!
