Head for the beach....its always cooler at the coast! It seems like it wasnt all that long ago I was moaning about how cold it was. Guess this is payback. Only a couple of months to go....we can make it!!!

this is what I left when I moved to TX. I don't miss it...but I don't like the heat either.

Not always true - - - I'm less than 25 miles as the crow flies from the Gulf of Mexico and it's hotter 'n blue blazes here. 98 degrees and heat index of 105-110.

Great relief in my parents' swimming pool. . . it's 9' deep and in the shade all day, so even in late June and early July it's frigid. Right now, while many swimming pools are lukewarm and uninviting, theirs is perfectly cool and refreshing.
Growing up, our pool had a shorter comfortable swimming season than a lot of my friends did, but by late July and August, we were always in my backyard.

I'm very susceptible to heat exhaustion... first found out at an FCA golf camp near Houston. I REALLY have to keep an eye on how much I drink and how hot I'm getting.
This is really the only thing I don't like about TX. I need a job where I can work 6 months, then be off 6 months to relax in the Caribbean
