Remembering 9/11

I was on my way to work when my wife called me with the news about the first plane. I got to work and we were all watching the news off and on. I was on the phone with my wife, away from the TV, when she told me that one of the towers had just collapsed.

I remember the strength and certainty I used to (try to) reassure her "It did not collapse - there is no way. Baby, trust me, that tower did not fall. It must just be a debris cloud or the camera angle or something. There is no way those planes could make the buildings collapse" ... or something to that effect. I few minutes later, I realized how wrong I was ...

We just finished watching "102 minutes that changed America" on The History Channel. It was nearly all raw amateur footage shot from the streets around the Trade Centers. It was horrific.

My wife and I had just made it home from working the night shift. We were watching the morning news getting ready for bed when it started.
Of course all the video was shot from far away. Tonight's program brought it all back.

We just finished watching "102 minutes that changed America" on The History Channel. It was nearly all raw amateur footage shot from the streets around the Trade Centers. It was horrific.

My wife and I had just made it home from working the night shift. We were watching the morning news getting ready for bed when it started.
Of course all the video was shot from far away. Tonight's program brought it all back.

Same here.. I watched it and shed tears. I was hanging in there until the gals videotaping from their apartment saw jumpers in disbelief and then the 2nd plane hit and they couldn't contain themselves.

(you can hear a shaky voice) "That! What is that falling?" "What are those big heavy thing falling at a rate that paper would not fall???" "Oh God!! Please don't be a person!!!"

Then the 2nd plane hits. I lost it all over again. Then I got angry all over again.

I'll admit it, I get tears when i watch the events replay. I've been watching the history channel today and have shed a few tears.


I'll admit that I harbor a grudge too. I hate those who attacked our own innocent civilians on September 11 2001.


That day, 9-11-01 , Changed my life. I made a decision that day, to end my life or renew my life. This is no joke. Fortunately i chose to seek help, I got a new chance at life. If you know my history on here, or look it up, you will see. I was AWAKENED on this day in 2001.

I will always bear a burden, I feel that those people in some way lost their lives so that I could live mine. I choose to live it to the fullest now.


I fly my flag today at half mast, and am disgusted by those who do not.

I was in class at trade school. We were on a break and somebody who had been out in his car listening to the radio came running in saying that a plane had crashed into the WTC. At that time, everyone thought it was a horrible accident. Someone flipped on a TV and as we watched the coverage, we saw the second plane hit.

The very second the second plane was spotted, before it even hit, I said out loud "Holy ***** this is on purpose!"

The school is right near Bush Intercontinental airport. Within minutes there were no planes in the sky. That alone was eerie. You tend to not notice them when they are there, but you sure do notice when they aren't.

The two things burned indelibly into my memory are the second plane flying into the second tower and the

people.....

In 92' we started to train for actions "against elements of the UBL network", AKA, Al Qaeda, but our elected representatives didn't have the guts to pull the trigger and let us do our job.

AQ bombed a hotel in Yemen that year.

In 93' AQ was known to be in direct support of Somali forces during the whole Somalian "humanitarian crises". We STILL didn't react.

AQ bombed the WTC the first time that year using a proxy.

We failed to act....again.

In 96' elements of "Hezbollah" bombed the Khobar towers complex in Saudi Arabia.

We failed to act....yet again.

In 98' AQ bombed 2 of our embassies in Africa. We responded by sending cruise missiles to do the work of men. We failed.

In 2000 AQ bombed the USS Cole.

On 11 September 2001, AQ flew aircraft into the WTC complex, and the pentagon building, killing 3k people. 6 months later I was in Afghanistan for the first time.

9 years later, our nation, and the world, STILL hasn't learned what the threat actually is...

The cult of Islam.

There is NO other cult on the planet that has shown as much disdain and violence toward the countries they immigrate to as has those who follow the cult of Islam. PERIOD.

Not Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Communists, followers of Voo Doo, you name it.

Only the cult of Islam.

It is festering not only on our shores, but the shores of our allies, and we allow it to do so out of naivety and the false belief that all cultures are willing to share and adopt our values. This is not the case.

Not every hornet will attack and sting, however, that does not mean I will tolerate a hornets nest in my living room.

! Neville Chamberlain, former British PM, flew to Munich in 1938 and chatted with Adolph Hitler. He came back to London and told the world that Hitler was a nice chap who meant no harm.

History does repeat itself and Islam is the sworn enemy of the non-Islamic world. That Islamic hatred is most definitely and especially directed at the good 'ol USA.
