Besides, it isn't the goobernor of Texas you must fear, it is the ones who gather every other year in San Francisco, TX and those full-time fedtards in DC.
And anybody that stayed awake in Texas Govt class knows that the true governmental power in Texas rests with the Lt. Gov. -- unless something changed during the six years I was away ;-)

Hmm let's see Perry was George Bush's Lt Gov. Be careful not to buy into the liberal media’s notion the Texas Governor is some lame duck pasty. If that’s the case why, do they want it so dang bad? Why is Bill White pushing for term limits? The answer is SIMPLE. Perry has significantly influenced everyday Texas life over the past 10 years and the liberals cannot stand it! Do you think you would be carrying if Ann Richards or Bill White was Gov for 10 yrs?

See links on the power and influence of the Texas Governor.

Ah, I read "San Francisco, tx, and ... DC" as three separate locations. By the way, what's with naming Texas towns after California cities? San Francisco, San Diego, any others?
And since it's a 7-hour drive from SF,TX to Austin, I think my original question still stands, "who meets every two years in San Francisco?"

Gov. Perry will get my vote and my wife's. There will never be a politician in any office I will agree with 100% of the time, so that being said I look at the over all picture and base my decission on that and over all I think he has done well. Half the time I shoot at the range I don't wear safety glasses either. I should though. Our CHL rights are a very important issue when we go vote and should be I think.

Texas is one heck of alot better off than most states. No governor is perfect. His potential replacement is going to have to be a lot better than White. He has my vote.
