Aug. 1st 1966: Armed citizens kept a shooter pinned down so that Police and an Armed Pharmacist could approach the subject and stop him. The Location was the UT Tower.

Sep 28, 2010: A cab driver that called in a shooter to 911 reported that the subject he saw was armed with a handgun, no mention of an AK type rifle. This may be the reason that police suspect a second shooter, however one female subject reported that a second shooter was seen on the 3rd floor of PCL after the the first shooter killed himself.

The is a NRA sponsored talk there tonight........am I correct? I hope he did not harm anyone else.

The university is closed.

A suspected shooter in PCL library is dead. Law enforcement are searching for a second suspect. If you are off campus, STAY AWAY. If you are on campus, lock doors, do not leave your building.

A suspected shooter in PCL library is dead. Law enforcement are searching for a second suspect. If you are off campus, STAY AWAY. If you are on campus, lock doors, do not leave your building. All organized classes for today, September 28, are canceled.

KVUE-ABC had interview with woman who said she heard FIFTEEN shots 5 - 5 - 5 sequence and saw shooter OUTSIDE library with a "large assault weapon". She turned and ran, fearing he would shoot her in back.

Sounds like the search for "second suspect" is just matter of routine, some reports of second suspect but nothing definitive (just following up on all reports) but SWAT is sweeping whole area as matter of course.

Also Austin police chief just confirmed some shots WERE fired outside and the weapon was an AK-47

It's a new age we live in. I kinda realized it when cops stormed that plane at JFK a few weeks ago. CNN was following tweets from a passenger on the plane... pictures and all... Amazing huh?
