Interesting experience. Regarding the gated apartment, a buddy of mine just moved into a gated apartment, all you have to do is wait for a minute or so and your in...wait for another car to go in front and then just follow. Unless, of course, you don't want to be seen...but that didn't seem to stop these folks?

Exactly. Thats why I am curious as to why they were breaking the fence. They already were into the complex. People are weird.
