Texanron, I had thought about it to just recently but I think it applies to all of us. Take it easy and have a good day.
To all that have posted thanks for your input, always something to remember to keep us out of trouble.

What? I just love Jerry Springer. My handle has nothing to do with my love of all things made by Springfield Armory.

Well, if your quick about it, signature line changes appear to effect old postings as well - just like avatar changes. Not that I would encourage questionable sigs.
Google's cached pages won't update the signature. Never assume you can retroactively cover yourself, and if you're under "discovery", such actions will remove the mantle of innocence.
AOL only lets you set your name one time, which I discovered while I futily typed my name , initials, parts of my name, etc. only to be told they're in use. Luckily the one that stuck wasn't too bad. Out of frustration I used a moniker my fishing buddy gave me after I bought my first boat many, many years ago. It seems a little ostentatious if you don't know the story!
My forum name is associated with the fact I collect Puma knives. I don't know if a grand jury would be leery of that or not! You never know.
I guess since I own several firearms also a prosecutor could note all my guns and knives and accuse me of having MWOD "Mass Weapons Of Destruction"

I personally would love to see the look on a DA's face if he were to unwittingly find out who and what the PFJ (Peoples Front of Judea) are in court. They rank up there with the Coalition to Fight Gravity, the Stop Continental Drift Society, and the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. All fantastic organizations I might add.

I don't worry about it, but if you plan on shooting people in questionable circumstances, maybe you should worry.

I dunno, your name sounds an awful lot like Tex Enron. And we all know that Enron's sole purpose in existing was to ruin people's lives. So is that your sole purpose, Mr. Enron - to ruin people's lives? Was that your sole purpose when you so callously gunned down this fine young man who merely offered to trade you his shiny knife for the money in your wallet before you murdered him in cold blood?

I've used the randomoutburst handle since I was in high school. I was trying to sign up for a forum account and the first two dozen handles I tried were taken. In frustration, I typed in "randomoutburst" and it stuck. I've used it for several other forums since, just for ease of remembering between forums.
I guess my handle could be viewed in a bad light (impulsive?) were it to be used in court, but really...everyone has dumb screen names at one point in their lives right??
Maybe I should just make all new accounts with a new handle...
Nah, too much effort. Then I'll have to re-memorize new username/password combinations and it will drive me crazy!

If it were brought up in court, it certainly would not serve that person's best interest.
Hope it wasn't mine.
Guess it might not endear me to counsel, a judge, or a jury that were Longhorns.

Hmmm. I was just thinking of changing my screen name, and debating with myself between "ErictheRedBloodyGutRipper" and "IheartFluffyBunnies&KittenVideos." Hmmmm. Hmmmm. What to do, what to do....

Maybe I should change mine to "The Moderately Peeved Man?" Maybe I could claim the defense that my wife seems to have acquired the nickname "The Pleasant Woman" here after the CHL forum day.

We ARE often judged by the company we keep.
