I agree with the above consensus. I was initially very wary of carrying my G26 with one in the pipe, but after practicing repeatedly with an unloaded gun I have realised that it is as safe as any other gun provided that the proper respect is given to it. Practice keeping your finger away from the trigger and you will be just fine.

On human error: we don't leave the house without pants because we have a clear knowledge of the consequences of such action and we have made it a habit to always make sure we have them on. NDs happen because we either have bad habbits or we have failed to keep the consequences of our actions in mind.

I had the same concerns when i started carrying a g26. It will go away with practice and time. I practiced holstering my firearm in the mirror several times a week and always try to keep my trigger finger off the trigger guard. I point the finger away from the pistol (out to the side) or ill curl it into my palm to make sure its no where near the trigger guard. If you are concerned, you can try one of those safe-t blocks that you pop in behind the trigger to prevent an AD. Although you have to remember to pop it out before you pull the trigger and that again is something you have to train for.

I have a Glock 22 .40 cal. I am the saftey. If I follow the rules, use common sense and fall back on training then all is well. I encourage you to do the same. It will grow on you. Congrats on your purchase

Evidently, you're concerned enough that you posted it twice!

I can't be the only one who thinks that Glock shouldn't use model numbers that are also popular calibers. If Bersa were like Glock, the Mini Thunder 9 would be a .45. Still, can't argue with Glock stats-Holds lotsa' bullets, always go bang, super slim and light, reasonably priced, and won't set off an airport medal detector .

New Glock 27. Bitten by the bug.
I recommend you use a good antihistamine to counter the itch... followed up by a liberal application of Cutter's or OFF! to prevent further bites.

(j/k - congrats on the purchase. ;-) They're good pistols, but don't fit or balance properly in my hand. I prefer my P250, or a 1911 for carry.)

Does anybody else besides me have to Google the various Glock numbers when a query is posted on this site? I had to google Glock 27 to find out the particulars about that firearm. I guess it is because I don't own a Glock. Am I alone in not having these Glock numbers committed to memory?

I only know the 26 and 27 'cause those are the ones I've been kinda' sorta' interested in (really the 26). I bet the Glock 27 answers the question, "What would the recoil of an LCP be if it were a .40 caliber?"

I'll continue to use the Glock homepage. It loads pretty fast. Your link was just unfamiliar, meaning I'm used to the Glock Site.

Is it just me or is the S&W site REAAALLLY SLOOOWWWW?
