I currently have a lower end slr, keep thinking about upgrading to something along the lines of a cannon t2i or 60d but every time I think of spending the money I just cant help but think about what kind gun I could get for the same amount

I plan on setting up my stuff and taking a few new pictures of the new 380, I tried to get a shot down the barrel last time but had poor lighting,

What kind of glock do you have? I haven't seen one with the firing pin indicator before...

I'm wondering, if we could have board space for " Photography " (Gun Related ) I know we have a sect. for "Show me pics & vids, of our guns, rifle and ranges ...etc. BUT... I'm talking about, . pics, related to firearms, such as yours. (With the camera work, as topic)

Just a quick tip for those interested in macro photography but without wanting to drop big money on a DSLR and expensive macro lens. MANY small point-n-shoot cameras take GREAT macro photos if you use the macro setting in the camera. The photo I posted earlier of all the spent .40-cal cases was taken with a Canon Powershot S410 Digital Elph that is about 6 or 7 years old and "only" 4 megapixels. The secret with any macro photography is lighting, composition, and most importantly a TRIPOD. But even the tripod doesn't have to be horribly expensive. I used a $25 "Gorilla pod" with that S410 for the cases photo. This is my basic small items camera set up I use for taking pics of small gun parts and other misc. junk I sell on TGT.com, eBay, craigslist etc. Like AddyLO, I also have a DSLR with a Sigma macro lens (90mm f2.8 on Nikon DSLR). But for basic shots, the point-n-shoot camera is easier and quicker to set up and use.

Of course, with the DSLR and macro lens you can get more creative with depth of field etc. And ring flash or multiple off-camera flash set ups only add to the flexibility.

what glass did you get? I'm very torn an thinking of changing brands (for no good reason) and have a few of these from the 70's that fit my body, but i never spend the time to mess with them,,, what size is this?

Friend of mine and fellow semi-pro photog made his newborn baby wake up from sleep and start crying the first time he took her photo with his D2H scared the heck out of the poor little thing
