Jared can keep their sparklies and their misguided "corporate policies"
:iagree: I have a jeweler and do not need to go to overpriced jewelry stores anymore. Find a good broker and you will save a ton of money, or at least get A LOT more for your money. My wife's engagement ring appraised for a little less than double of what I paid for it,l try doing that with a big chain diamond. And I can carry my gun on my hip and talk hotrods and guns with my guy.
So how do you find jewelry brokers?
Just like you find any other service provider. I found my guy through my brother who had a lot of friends use him. Check the yellow pages for "diamond importers" or ask around for independent brokers/wholesalers. If you were in Houston I could PM you the info for mine. The guy I use works like a small gunshop, you tell him what you want, he orders a couple of diamonds direct from NYC, you pick the one you like and he sends the rest back. Small inventory = less overhead.

From a Corporate point of view, particularly in a Jewelry store the 30.06 probably makes sense.

I would imagine that any firm insuring said Jewelers would much rather cover the loss of jewelry, etc. rather than the possibility of liability derived from any shooting that may occur in the store prompted by a CHL-carrier defending themselves.
However, by them denying CHL in their store, they then take on "full" responsibility for my and my families safety while in their store.

1) I don't trust them with the safety of my family.
2) You can be dang sure I'll be filing a lawsuit against them should a loved one be killed/injured in their store...it won't be me, 'cause I'm not giving them my business.

It's well known all Jared stores are posted. I wouldn't go near one. Too many other jewelry stores to pick from.

They are a British owned company (also own Kay jewelers). They do not respect the constitutional rights of Americans. In return, I do not respect THEIR right to earn a profit in the United States of America.

I like Jared for retail service, but stopped shopping there for this very reason.
