If our founding fathers could see what we allow the government to do to us, they would slap the snot out of us. :banghead:

History repeats itself. The FBI starting collection this type of information on people of German, Italian and Japanese descent at the beginning of World War II. After World War II it was people who might be or associated with communists.
So are they preparing to make war on us? :???:

I am utterly convinced that my neighbors are Terrorists that are converting their condo into a massive explosive device. I have absolutely nothing to substantiate my concerns, but I still feel that way.

I want to go on the record that I disagree with anyone who takes offense to this. As a devoted and LOYAL follower of our dear leader and all of the benevolent governmental entities that take care of us, I am deeply concerned by some of the opinions expressed in this thread and elsewhere.

The government is our mother, father and protector. Our dear leader would never allow any harm to befall us and will always act in our best interests.

Does anyone know where I can find a big "I love my federal government" sign for my yard? Wouldn't want any of my neighbors to get the wrong idea.

What was that guy's name...? It's coming to me now, does the name Joe McCarthy ring any bells? I think he was a Republican from Wisconsin?
Exactly what I was thinking. McCarthyism, bring on the blacklists.

No need. Just make sure that you never allow any anti-government thoughts to enter your mind (unless a conservative is in power, then its all good). I'd suggest watching 36 straight hours of MSNBC to ensure that you are thinking properly.

Thank you for the report, comrade. You have earned one red star for your patriotism.

When you reach five stars, you will automatically be enrolled as a junior member of The Party, and become eligible to apply for a government job (up to GS-9) and Epsilon tier ration coupons.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Vote for whom? Both major parties are pretty much equally bad on civil liberties in practice, with a few minor differences.

The neighbors I have are all atleast semi-eccentric nuts. Suspicious of being less-than-normal. They would likely say the same thing about their neighbor.... i.e., my little casita and household. Just kind of how folks operate out here. And its just fine, D.C.; you up there wouldn't understand.

Not a single one of us law-breakers. Nary one a criminal.

Define normal? Living in a former swamp, now inhabited my millions upon millions of north-easterners? Amongst all that concrete, glass, steel and angry faces. Working alongside coworkers who are already so pee'd off due to the 3 hr commute before they even get into that uncomfortable cubicle chair to begin their Monday.

What's normal? That?

I report DC, northern VA, Baltimore, Philly, NY/NJ..... ; I report them all as acting suspicious. Atleast in relation to genuine human behavior.
