State's right for a County Sheriff, under "color of law" to infringe upon 2A right in retaliation of a Whistleblower might make an interesting Federal lawsuit.

Oooh... yes it would. I think the state would just argue that it's their prerogative, and they no longer deemed him worthy, though.

Yep. It's part of why I no longer want to move to CA.

Not to defend the Sheriffs office,
I think that once his status as an armed flight officer was taken away from him, he lost his justification for the permit.
In California, wanting to exercise your 2nd amendment rights or protecting yourself from threats yet unknown isn't good enough reasons to be issued a CCW license.

Sacramento News10 report

Having had a CCW permit in California, CCWs are generally issued for specific purposes. For example a person who transports large sums of cash from his business to the bank will be issued a license to carry when he/she is specifically engaged in this activity, but at no other time. In this case it was, most likely, issued pursuant to his being deputized by TSA. There may or may not have been restrictions as to when and where he could carry. Usually LE related CCWs are issued without such restrictions, but this is unknown in this specific instance. Revocation of his status as an TSA LEO would invalidate the reason he was issued a CCW by the SO. It is notable that TSA would need to specifically contact the SO for them to have knowledge of his status. This may or may not be SOP but this is unknown at this time.

Even the California media recognizes this is retaliation against a whistleblower.

More proof TSA is a bigger threat to the US constitution than AQ and OBL.

:iagree: It is a shame that much of the US population doesn't get it yet. There are too many with the sheeple mentality.
