i am just waiting on background as well, been all green since the other day

Just saw that soon, all fingerprints for CHL will have to be done by L1. I think this starts in March.

Well I re-did my finger prints through fast so the waiting continues. I hope its not to long.

Been fighting the urge to check the website all week, and still no change. All GREEN except for background...yadda yadda yadda. I'm pretty sure the thing I self reported (which I'm starting to think I didn't even have to put down) is going to make my wait drag out even longer. Anyways....argh. When I turned in my prints, they were ink and paper and I didn't have any issues.

got a letter in the mail today from the DPS .... or what i thought was the DPS (i saw "Department of" and just stopped reading), it was from the DMV - license sticker renewal

What I thought was weird today is when I went to F.A.S.T. to get my finger prints. I told the lady that my card had been denied for poor quality, and she acted shocked. She said the cards are normally better which contradicts what everything else I hear about says. Hmmm.

My finger prints are complete now! All I am waiting on now is my background check. Hopefully it wont be much longer.

you sent in your application around the middle of December, right? has the status on your background check changed at all, or is it still showing "under review"? my guess is that it won't be long now until you get your plastic, i read on another forum where a guy sent in his paperwork mid-December and got his plastic in the mail this past monday.

I hope it will be soon. It still says my background is under review but I also had to redo my finger prints and the color changed on the fingerprint line from red to green last night sometime. All I can do is wait.

Checked again this morning, everything is complete except one item
Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing Pending
its the only thing still yellow

Online App- May 2010
Fingerprint- 12/17
CHL Class- 12/18
Mailed in -12/21
Arrived at P.O Box- 12/22*
Statues updated online -Early January
Everything shows green except Background and Issued.

*Received by DPS either on 12/22 or 12/27, not sure because of the Holiday break.

Another change in status, now it says:
Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing

Im guessing that means they are in the process of printing up my license
The wait is almost over.

Well I should get my license any day now.
I called a buddy of mine who is a police officer and had him run my D.L. and it came back that I was a chl holder. So that is good news

congrats, mine is still held up in the "background check: under review" phase. when did you send all your paperwork off?
