:iagree:

You'd think someone would have thought about that already... :headscratch

I propose we ban politicians, that would be 100% effective in preventing shootings on politicians. :thumbs2:

Ban politicians from saying things that we don't like, instead of the other way around.

Sheesh!

Jon Stewart, an admitted liberal but one with an open mind who has defended gun owners and 2A-RKBA before, had a great response both King's 1,000-foot bill and Brady's perceived threatening language bill.

I am always intrigued by the lack of reason shown by the idea of proposing a new law to keep people from breaking a much more severe law that they plan to break anyway. "I don't mind committing murder, but there's no way I'm going to break that 1000 foot rule." Somehow, I just don't see even the dumbest criminal thinking that way (excluding the dumb criminals who propose such things).

It seems like it. Shows how much they know about the US Constitution. (Article I, Section 9)

Look at how much press this criminal attack got, compared to a convenience store robbery or home invasion.

Look at the flags being lowered, even in non-Arizona states, when the same isn't done to honor hard working US citizens and taxpayers.

The most logical explanation is they think they're royalty and more important than the common people.

Since most Royalty believe they were ordained by God to rule on Earth, being Royalty would be a step down from where most politicians place themselves.

I propose they declare a symbol to mark "federal officials". I suggest one of Sarah Palin's
"crosshair" emblems, inside a big red circle with a slash thru it. The symbol must be at least 12 inches tall, in contrasting colors, in both English and Spanish, and be conspicuously displayed on each official.
You saying thay need a politicians badge?

So does that mean no Federal Official can come within 1,000 feet of my property? I might actually like that. What if you live next to one of them thar Federal Officials? Do you have to leave home when they are in their house, or vice versa?

I would like to see a ban on Federal officials coming within 1,000 feet of any US Citizen. After all US Citizens have the right to keep and bear arms, and we need to keep the Feds safe. Since the Feds work for the citizens, the onus should be on them to leave the area IMHO.

That's what we would do if they were zombies instead of merely Congress Critters. (by the way, we need a zombie smiley)
