You shall soon know why its called "The Soviet Man Cannon" for a reason!

I wager you make it thru about 15 rounds before you trade off to something with a little less omph behind it

(I only made it thru 10 before I put mine down!) I ordered 880 rounds.....uggh!

I have heard that 1" thick buffer pad for like $15 bucks is night and day with the thing!

Oh how prices have changed, I bought my 91/30 in the early 90's for $39.99 with my C & R, but then again Chicom SKS's were $129.99 at most gun stores back then. Anyhow, clean the heck out of it, if I remember right mine was full of cosmoline. Neat gun and fun to shoot, but steel buttplate and harsh recoil equal a brushed shoulder.

I put twenty rounds through it yesterday and enjoyed every one. I didn't find the recoil to be nearly as severe as some people make it out to be.

A 91/30 is only harsh for someone who thinks an AR "kicks".

M44 kicks a little more, not too bad.

I don't mind shooting MNs, I just hate the bolt handle. Awful.

I love my M44. Weird looks when shooting with Bayonet extended, 3 foot long fireballs, and a BOOM that shakes the earth. I felt a little bad when the father/son shooting a .22LR next to me packed up and left though. I did offer anyone who was interested to shoot it, all declined.
