I thought i handed her my DL from my wallet but actually gave her my CHL. They do look very much alike. She told me that the bank did not allow CHL as a form of ID. It kinda ticked me off so i asked her why not? All she could say was "it was bank policy". My question is, If i wanted to push the issue could i demand that they take my CHL as legal ID?
Switch banks.

:iagree: Switch banks and if they ask why, tell them.

I accidentally took out my CHL once going through airport security. The one TSA agent looked at it funny (wasn't in Texas) and then ended up dropping my DL on the other side when putting things back in their place. When talking to the TSA agent that recovered my DL he said the CHL would have been fine as it was state issued and heck, he was aware of the background check requirements, it made him more confident I was safe anyway.

Kind of interesting.

In college, I once got into a bar with my Scuba certification, but I believe every business can make their own policies about what is acceptable and what is not. It wouldn't bother me too much, especially if it was my fault to begin wth.

I was in my bank making a deposit with a cash withdrawal too, while in uniform (EMS). Now in my class "C" my last name and badge # are on there, then my system medical ID has my full name on there. When she asked for ID, I chuckled and pointed to both of those and asked which she'd prefer. She said she needed to see my Driver's License to complete the transaction and was serious. I would say they have a strict policy on what's acceptable.

Good to know they do check though...

I like to use my Bail Enforcement Agent (BEA) card that I ordered from Soldier of Fortune Magazine and my CHL badge....
