What is done with your old CHL.

I'd put it in my pile filled with old DL's, old company IDs, old school IDs, passport photos, Costco cards, and baby footprints. Do I like looking at myself? Am I weird??

Doesn't sound weird to me. I have all my old DL's .
It's sorta like an album of your life....man I was skinny once.

I had my CHL from 2000-2004 and I let it expire. I just got my new one yesterday and noticed it was the same license number as the old one. I figured that number would have been recycled after 7 years

I have on old drivers license in which I am wearing a hat. It used to be legal in Texas to wear a hat in your D.L., not sure when they changed that.

After mailing back my expired CHL to the exact address contained in the email from the CHL section, I found it back in my mailbox marked "Return to Sender-No such number". I assume it's referring to the PO box that I was instructed to mail it to. I have sent an email asking for further instructions.

Regardless of what the email said, the LAW does not require you to return expired licenses, or licenses with changed names/addresses. You must return only licenses with a changed category (SA/NSA).
