I thank them every time I get pulled over. Right at the end, if I get a ticket or not. "thanks officer, and have a great day". :biggrinjester: :biggrinjester:

Food for thought. :tiphat:

Usually I don't have much contact with LEOs other than when I see their flashing lights in my rear view mirror. They might think I am a wise guy if I were to thank them for their service at this point in time.

Other than our contact on the street, usually the only time that I speak to an LEO is when we are in a gun store, and we are usually talking about ... guns.

The few times that I see them in a restaurant, I just give them a smile and a friendly nod.

Sometimes I "talk" to LEOs on the forum. Sometimes I disagree with them, but mostly I thank them for their advice or input.

Today I can thank them for their service. :patriot: :txflag:

Not nearly enough; I always wave when in the vehicle or on the motorcycle and every time I've been stopped, whatever the outcome, I've always ended the contact with "thank you, Sir"....going to try to amend that to "Thank you for all you do.." at every opportunity.
Good Post,
Thanks,

There is road behind my property that leads to nowhere basically. The local deputy's will go back there and hang out, kinda like deer hunting! :smilelol5: I'll go back there often with a cold Dr.Pepper for them and a thank you. Everytime military personel is in front of me at a store their money is no good. :patriot:

On Monday mornings after my team works a three day weekend (every other) we go to local taco dive to relax and debrief. The firefighters came in one morning and discretely bought out breakfast. It's kind of a cool game to start because now we started buying theirs when we see them out.

I have been at the kettle at 3 am and had everyone from retired working men to drunken college students thank my partners and I, and buy our breakfast. We're grateful to have the support of our community.
