Congratulations TAM ! Does your face hurt from smiling so much?
Your son is so lucky to have you as his father and mentor. He's already ahead of the
game in the CHL world because of it.
I look forward to the day that my own son turns 21(he's 18 now). Whether he realizes it
or not, I've already been preparing him for that day.
P.S. I hope he enjoys the MTAC

Thanks man. He seems to like the MTAC just fine. It's going to be funny when the four of us are out to dinner somewhere, and all four of us are armed. It'll be the calmest table in the joint.

I don't know about that...Y'all might fight over who gets the seat that faces the door.
No worries though, just use your seniority to over-rule him.

Who gets the seat facing the door. The one with the fastest or slowest reflexes?

More important, who gets that last chicken wing.

Very cool!
Ya gotta get him on the Forum. If not The Annoyed Boy, maybe:
- The Annoyed Son
- The Annoyed Scion
- The Annoyed Offspring
- The Annoyed Descendant
- The Annoyed Millennial (assuming he's not a Gen Xer)
- The Annoyed Kid
- The Annoyed Whippersnapper
- The Annoyed Lad
- The Annoyed Muchacho
- The Annoyed Callant (since the roots are Scottish)
- The Annoyed Fellow
- And then, of course, there is, The Annoyed Man, Jr.

Tell him we're all proud of him!

Heh heh. It'll serve him right if he doesn't hurry up.
I told him to git 'er done, but I'm only his father.

Whatever your son and DIL choose to call themselves, we'd be happy to welcome them here. Congratulations and God's blessings to the whole family.

The Annoyed Man wrote:I'm watching TV in the back room at about 10:30 last night and I hear someone opening my front door. My dog is on the couch next to me, and he alerts, but right away I hear a familiar voice saying "Hello!" and my son and one of his friends appears in the kitchen coming toward me. So I relax, but I'm wondering why my son has come over so late at night.
The Annoyed Boy has his Kimber Pro Raptor in his hand and two full magazines. He sets them down on my coffee table, whips out his wallet and shows me his brand new still shiny plastic, and says "Where's my holster!?"
I had bought him a used MTAC for a 4" 1911 from USA1 at the last forum day at PSC, and it was sitting on top of my son's safe waiting for the day when his plastic arrived. My gift to both him and his fiancé for Christmas was their CHL class. Her plastic is still pending as she had to provide DPS some additional information, which delayed the process somewhat; but my son's arrived in yesterday's mail.
I'm not sure exactly what date they sent their paperwork in, but I know it was in February, so it looks like the total time was somewhere around 60 days. I'll find out from him today and post the actual time it took.
I hope he registers here as "The Annoyed Boy" just because I have fun with the "Annoyed" thing and I've been calling him that here for a while now, but he's a man and not a boy, and I'll just be happy if he joins... whatever user name he chooses. Many of you have already met him, at either DPC, the last Elm Fork forum day, or at skeet shooting days.
Anyway, he proudly got strapped, walked to our bedroom where my wife had just gone to bed, proudly displayed his plastic to her, and then he and his friend left to go see a late movie. I've always been proud of him, but this morning I'm especially proud that he has joined the ranks so early in his life and has chosen to express his 2nd Amendment rights.
Plus, he carries a 1911. What's not to like about that? I am a proud dad this morning.
What? You allowed the Annoyed Boy to open carry on your premises? Aren't you worried that he was violating 46.035...? I know there's a small likelihood of him getting caught...but with the right combination of anti-gun neighbor, cop, and DA...you never know. I wouldn't risk "taking the ride". Even if he beats the rap, it will cost him thousands in attorney fees, jail time, and court appearances. I just conceal when at my dad's place...
