Its not like I'm saying everyone gets pulled over everyday...Nor would I encourage confrontation at anytime in the process...Its a quick way to blowing something routine out of proportion...Its not necessary...
I'd much rather have someone be encouraged to tell us their story, let everyone hash it out, learn from it, and move on...How we all relate to experiences like this does make a difference on how we conduct ourselves in public and with Law Enforcement...
I think its a positive...
Ask me how many times I've been snagged coming off of I-45 north and the 19 split and haven't come off the speed???

I really don't like going through these kind of convos and stealing away a topic and getting it off topic. Incase you don't know I'm an ex cop, as is txinvestigator, so I know the law, and I've been in traffic court a few times. Look what I'm trying to say is it's hard to say as a cop you observed a light turn red as someone passed over the white line that was behind you and you could not see the light now wouldn't it? You say you timed the light or some other fancy tactic to make sure that guy ran it? Fine my question is how did you time it? Did you use a stop watch? "Once again officer how is it that you observed the light turn red if you had already passed through it?" "If you saw it when you passed under the light how was it that you were able to both look behind, you as well as look up to see the light turn red at the split second it takes a vehicle to pass through the intersection officer?"
