Thanks bronco. I've kept your PM and will let you know if, for whatever reason, the current host family doesn't work out.
As for temper, smiles and play -- except for the fact that he's big as a horse -- I've never met a more sociable GS. Of course (as seen in the pic), my rescue mutt (the white mini-schnauzer being sat on) might have another opinion!
