Some good posts here!
Fortunately, my wife, is PRO-GUN! She has a Taurus Judge, a .38/357, and a .22 Baretta BobCat. Probably shoots them better than me...lol. Keeps one close by and other 2 in accessable appropriate places. She doesn't like my SA's and prefers wheelguns. GIT-R-DONE!
So far, not sure about my daughter and 2 granddaughters. Only watered down responses, quite brief, from them. Hoping to educate them about need for one for personal protection...they do a lot of back country hiking, camping, etc. in Colorado. Time will tell.
On the other hand, my brother in SW Texas is a liberal, anti-gun, "people are good", and conservationalist type. He did come to visit us last year and saw my SA in a holster sitting on our table...he jumped back about a foot. Did manage to get him to "hold" the gun (empty of course) but was brief like it was 300 deg. F...lol. Couple of years ago I was able able to convince him to get ONE gun...he chose a used single shot .410 at a pawn shop... Not much protection against a possible mountain lion or other 2 or 4 legged critter in his remote area of SW Texas...
Takes all kinds...
