First, please forgive my candor & INsensitivity...

I mean no offense...lol.
1. Use holster with a retaining snap to keep gun in.
2. Use a shoulder holster.
3. Duct tape on kids mouth before going into public.
4. Stop getting pregnant after #3.
On a sidebar...kids can be lethal weapons when in the wrong, inappropriate place...

1. working on that one--do you know of one that will fit a pregnant woman?
2. No luck so far with shoulder holsters--VERY visibly and obvious and uncomfortable
3. Thought of that but CPS would be on me like bowtruckles on doxie eggs
4. No problem--the next time it will be getting pregnant after #4 child

Here's a couple of ideas....
http://www.gunblast.com/Badger.htm
http://www.gunblast.com/Kangaroo.htm
Should hide well under most maternity clothing....and has safety straps for the gun...

Glad to see some "women's issues" discussed here. I've got a couple of weeks till my CHL class, but I'm wearing IWB and unloaded around the house to get a feel for it, see what kind of clothes work, and discover unexpected issues at home rather than stumble upon them *out there* or before I walk around the house loaded. For instance, trying to use the bathroom with the CompTac IWB is, shall we say, interesting, but getting easier!

OP, You are awesome. I wish my preggo wife would carry, let alone a .45! God bless you and good luck with those little ones, the one on the way, and your current dilemma!

Aww thank you. That is most kind. We actually found a solution, but it has 0 to do with a belly band. Look up a flash bang holster--they don't make one for a glock 36 yet, so I modified a IWB holster and use it in the same manner. My DH now uses the belly band like a smart carry holster.

I can almost guarantee one thing...you wear one of those holsters, and you reach for your weapon, and the bad guy is going to stop whatever he is doing to watch. One peep show he is really going to get a bang out of!

From personal experience

never use a belly band, they are junk and will not hold any kind of gun. eventually they all fall out at somepoint even in the best conditions. you cant trust them and they do a poor job in the best case.
Pregnant or not they junk is junk.

Wasn't that Jean-Luc Picard's name when the Borg had him?

Close. Locutus is the nominative masculine singular form of the Latin verb for say/speak.
So if you come from up North you know "Scrod" is the past pluperferct form of the word ________?

Why do you choose to be linguistically inscrutible on a CHL forum? Besides, that joke only works coming from Boston cab drivers.
