Wei just checked my status and its now manufacturing pending. That pretty fast seeing as they recived my application 7 days ago. From the looks of other people's status maybe I'll receive my licends next weekend, hopefully.

Good for you. That sounds like record time.
If mine isn't updated by Monday I'll be calling the DPS to raise a little H377.

wow, that is the quickest I've seen. maybe you
will get it next week, some people have all the luck, unless you're like me and get sent to manufacturing purgatory

I called the CHL dept. today and they said they received everything June 30, 2011 and are just waiting on my background check to come back. Since I was 18 I have only received 3 speeding tickets and I am 24 now. It seems like everyone has had pretty quick turnaround on their applications and mine is still under review after 6 weeks. The only thing I can think of is that I just finished college in 2009 so I moved around a lot from 2005-2009. Is that what could be holding up the review?

Unfortunately, some of us:
Lived out of state in the last 5 years
Traveled to China, Hong Kong, Macau on business in the last two (on a Visa)
Have held a clearance in the military
Had more than a few redacted orders
Worked for NATO for time
Traveled all over Central/South America/Europe for NATO and the USAF (NATO orders, no Visas)
Have had a recent ID theft (No Mr Bank, I did NOT move to Houston last week)(No Mr IRS, that is my child, no one else can claim her)
-Voter registration also thinks I moved
I'll be all of the 60 days or more :(
8 days and counting since I went 'Under Review'
