Trying to be more forgiving in my later years, but this is one 8!^@6 that it's very hard to forgive. :mad5
And now she's offended that so many of us remember her moronic escapades during Vietnam, and hold it against her??? :headscratch

It always amuses me how often anti-capitalists are the already-wealthy
These are the "limousine liberals"...THEY know what is best for the rest of us because they are so much BETTER than the rest of us "teabillies clinging to our guns and religion out in fly-over country" (just to put ALL of those together, ha ha)...not a darned one of those folks is even a good socialist, though they love the TRAPPINGS of it...helps 'em control the "dirty masses"...and Hanoi Jane is as fine an example of those people as has existed. I'm not a Vietnam Vet, but I served with a couple, and they hated her guts...and after watching video of former POWs speak about the treatment they got at the tender hands of the NVA, I understand why.

NO respect to you, traitor. May you burn eternal in the after life.

You can protest.
You can speak for or against policy.
It is your right.

When you pose with the enemy, in an enemy nation, while we are at war and American soldiers are fighting and dieing, you are below contempt.
How she avoided treason charges, I guess I'll never understand. Though I understand the sentiment, cursing her to eternal damnation is a fearful thing. If one prays that God grants her wisdom, she may suffer yet and her heart be pricked.

I was encouraged a few years ago when she came out as a "born again" Christian, I was more encouraged when she let her marriage to Ted Turner end rather than renouncing her "faith". But Jesus told us that a tree is known by its fruits. Part of being a Christian is repenting of your sins (rethinking, turning from). If she had been unabashedly repentant, accepted the consequence of her actions like those who cannot carry though they are the best of citizens (see, gun related  ) because of their youthful violations, and never belittled her acts or those that are still bitter because of them; she may have a modicum of acceptance. She has not born the fruit.

I will not curse her and I will not grant her my respect. But I will hope and pray she changes, becomes humble before those she hurt and becomes the example that Hollywood so desperately needs.

(Added in Edit: I must confess a hypocrisy here, I still watch "Cat Ballou" when it comes on.)
