Heh...talk about irony, I was worried about the storm coming and now I'm worried we're not going to see much rain from it here in the Houston area (specifically around my house).

Heck, for Houston the forecast has already been downgraded to only a 30% chance of rain by this evening, and a 20% chance by noon Saturday.

We're gonna be lucky to get any more percipitation than we would see on what would be a normal, summer day.

The local network news has had so little to report on this season but the drought, they sure hyped this small storm the past 36 hours, didn't they? Now they're backpedaling. Even Matagorda may get only an average sprinkling. Brownsville and the southern tip of Texas will get a dousing, but it would help Texas a lot more if the storm would come in farther north and track over a wider area into Central Texas.

Bummer... looks like North Texas is going to be left high and dry still. 27 days of 100+ is driving me nuts here in Dallas.

We have had 29 consuctive days (today will make 30) and 46 for the year (today will make 47).

It only shows the top 10 years, so 2011 has not yet made the top 10 for DFW.

I did not live here in 1980 and am glad I missed that heat. We did live in Flower Mound in 1998 and it seems this year is going to top that.
