Sure wasn't I...been forever since I went to Red Lobster...and I have a family of 5. Knowing a friendly CHL works there, I may have to come in, now!

You have a better eye than me, I have yet to see anybody print.

There's not much in Grayson, but Red River Firearms is a nice indoor range with awesome clerks. ...

Best Pawn off Texoma has lots of ammo for decent prices, and we've stumbled across a few good guns there. They have a lot of new Kimbers in there, which I'm not particularly interested in, but hey. I don't see their guns move very fast. They have a lot of the same stuff they had 8-10 months ago, with very little new inventory (at least in handguns).

Wild West Pawn in Sherman Square has turned up a few good finds as well, usually for a pretty good price. My husband bought a 30.06 with a custom stock, original Mauser action, and he loves it. The guys there are nice to talk to as well.

There is one pawn shop in Denison...I can't remember the name, but it's a green and white building...that has an alright selection of semi-autos but the revolvers tend to be lacking. Their long gun selections are generally better than the handguns. The clerks are fun to talk to, and we end up spending an hour or two just talking every time we go in.

There's also The Gun Shop ...
Red River is a pretty good range. I try to go "after hours" on Thursdays 7-8pm where they shoot IDPA setups. It's $10 for the hour and you get to draw from concealment and set up scenarios with the targets. Great group of guys. I forget the RSO's name, but he's quick and a dead-eye with his 1911.

Best Pawn is a great place for ammo. If everybody else is out, they've got it. And they're prices aren't outrageous, either. Market price or less.

I'll have to find this pawn shop in Denison and "The Gun Shop" and check 'em out!

Midway Mall has a gun show every now and then. They're alright to check out.

The only guy I've made so far that I know of was actually a LEO providing plain clothes security at church. I had a feeling that he was security, but wasn't 100% sure at first, but he was a bigger guy with a not very loose shirt on. I could make out a full size 1911 at 3:00, OWB, fbi cant, beavertail impression, hammer, the whole deal. I could even make out some of the edges of the leather holster. It really made me wonder what he was thinking, not so much from a concealment standpoint, but how long would it hake him to deploy that weapon with his shirt being so tight?

If another CHL holder hasn’t seen my gun I would be surprised, I have accidently shown it so much.
God Bless America, and please hurry.
When I was young I knew all the answers. When I got older I started to realize I just hadn’t quite understood the questions.-Me
