I've been very happy with my TruGlo TFOs in my XD. I've read mixed reviews about them, but bought them anyways. I had them for about three years and one of the fiber optics fell out. I called TruGlo and they had me send it in and they sent me a new one at no cost to me. I use this pistol for carry, competition and home defense. Make sure you at least take a look.

I tried TruGlo TFO's, also on an XD. One of the lamps failed with only range use in less than six months.
TruGlo replaced the sight under warranty for me as well, but I put those sights in my "last ditch use" parts box and replaced them with Trijicons.
TruGlos are pretty but delicate and don't meet my standards. I buy for quality that will survive rough use in the field.

Trijicon. They cost a little bit more but they are worth it IMO...
They are well built and I can attest to the fact that they can take a beating and still work.

I actually emailed them Thursday. The response was that they don't make night sights for the SA 1911. They suggested contacting Novak, and provided a link. I just need to find out the size of the cuts, and decide if I want to spend that much on the sights. I have Meprolights on my Glock, and have been very satisfied with them. I picked them up 2nd hand, but even new, they are less expensive that what I'm seeing on the Novak website.

You might try contacting
Heinie Specialty Products. They don't specifically list the SA 1911, but their home page has a picture of one with their sights installed.
Their sights are very nice and they use Trijicon tubes in their night sights.
