Im actually a prometric proctor, as well as a tutor up at my University. Your right as far as what we are looking for though, I just make sure they arent cheating and let it be. There are some proctors out there who go way overboard, but Im pretty loose in my business. Dont cheat, give up your cell phone, and take your test. 90% of the time I only have 1 tester- I let them talk, will put on the radio if they want it... basically let them be comfortable. Ive had folks give their CHL as a second ID before, usually leads to a good conversation to help them relax before their exam.

I would have been more worried about not having my wallet that contains my CHL. If the police would have been notifed might have been some quick thinking to explain why you were without your CHL and had your pistol on your person.

I took my licensure exam at a Prometric center about 7 years ago and a certification test there a year and a half ago, and they made me empty them out. They wouldn't even let me take in the kleenex I had in my pocket.

Ahh-I would just take 3 steps toward the locker, take my wallet out, and poke it in my back pocket before any real controversy went down. Knowing my luck, some bonehead LEO would decide that any place administering a test is indeed a school.
