Deport the people who hire illegals along with the illegals. Drop them in Antarctica.

No government assistance including health care, housing, education, food (Lone Star card etc).None.
No more anchor babies.

No more anchor babies.I think this is the best option. A hardened border, I believe, would just infringe on our rights as US citizens the freedom of movement. [...] I believe if they have nothing to come to here, then they would try to fix there. Heavily fine employers, all of them, including our Hollywood types, who are caught hiring illegals. Make hiring US citizens the best sense, both fiscally and morally.
Emergency medical care has never, to my knowledge, been part of the discussion of restricting health care. I have heard nobody propose refusing to save a life regardless of status.Dave2 wrote:DEB wrote:gemini wrote:Strong penalties for hiring illegals (any company OR individual).

as well, although I would hate to have to provide ID at a hospital before they'll save my life (or limb).
Maybe not where you live, but in Tarrant County (Fort Worth) it has been suggested that the county hospital system (which includes one of our two trauma centers) could save a large percentage of it's budget by closing the ER, alone, to undocumented aliens, since that seems to be a major gateway into the hospital system.MasterOfNone wrote:Emergency medical care has never, to my knowledge, been part of the discussion of restricting health care. As has been historically demonstrated by municipalities and states that adopt strong illegal immigration laws. When you risk arrest and deportation by trying to live and work in one of these areas, they leave.loadedliberal wrote:No. Mines would just be morally wrong.
