OK, so I tried to leave this alone - but I can't...

Welcome to our world! Try doing this with a kid in the stall, and NO you can't hand them your firearm to hold. Try doing this while trying to hover because the seat is beyond disgusting! Sounds to me like you might need to learn to let the pants drop to mid calf. Why would you let your britches touch the nasty floor anyway!?! For an additional challenge, try sitting while keeping the door shut because the latch doesn't work, and all this after standing in line for 10 minutes waiting for a "seat".

You could try carrying a "satchel" or "man bag", but then you would have to find a place to put that - and the hooks are never in the stalls. :biggrinjester:

Seriously though, I have learned to keep 2 fingers on my gun butt, guiding it and the holster down where I can let it lean against my leg. This keeps the holster from tipping and thus avoiding the horribly sound of a firearm meeting tile. I don't like taking the gun out of the holster or the holster off the belt - some of my IWB clips are a bit tight and this is just more fiddling.

Might want to practice at home ;-)

Amazingly with smartcarry, you can keep the gun holstered and do what you have to do. NO issues.

Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable! Potty training for state licensed adult (?) gunslingers. See TAM's post above.

Along with readin', writin' and 'rithmetic, perhaps there should be a required session on toilet training in the CHL classes? Perhaps the age requirement should be raised rather than lowered?

Ya know, I am willing to add a whole lot of worthwhile topics to my class, but that is just not one of them. Nope, not gonna do it. You guys will just have to figure this one out on your own.

Oh, and stop talking about it on this forum! Geez! Use the search function! Enough, already!

Thanks again. I was hoping someone would bring this sophomoric, inane and redundant thread to a close.

When I have to use a public RR, I'll unholster and train it on the door in case someone interprets my foot tapping as an invite...

Because it's much easier than trying to keep them completely off the floor and I have a washing machine? I won't do it with an overly wet or dirty floor though, or if I've got an open wound on my leg and the part of the pants that are next to it (or pass it on the way up) would be touching said floor. Too be fair, though, I usually wear dark-colored pants that wouldn't show a small wet spot (or any... discoloration that might be there after it dried), so there's a bit of an "out of sight, out of mind" factor there. If I was a khaki fan, I might view things differently.

Incidentally, hooking my underwear over the butt of my holstered gun works pretty well for me. I usually carry in an MTAC holster which usually flops inwards when unsupported, so if anyone happens to be examining me under the stall wall it'll just look like my underwear collapsed funny.

"rlol"

+1 on the search function. Every solution I've ever heard of is in at least one of those threads. Everyone ought to be able to find something that works for them in those troves of accumulated wisdom.
