I don't care what they served. Just being in Obama's presence would be enough to kill my appatite. And, if I did manage to choke something down, his leftist elitism would be enough to cause what I ate to come back up.

I'm a pretty die hard conservative but I can't say that the man "makes me sick to my stomach." I'd love to pick the brain of a "world leader." I'm really curious if he would even entertain legitimate dialogue on "the issues." Once in a lifetime opportunity.
Being able to meet the man face to face you could then actually make a legitimate judgement on his character and personality. Aside from the political issues we have a lot in common too, like Homebrewing Beer (the Whitehouse brews its own beer thanks for Mr. Obama) and both of us get our vegetables for our house from our garden. Of course, the dinner would be mostly wasted on a guy like me since I'm not a big fan, don't donate, and it wouldn't be like meeting a hero/idol, just more of an intellectually/socially interesting event for me.

Doesn't it violate a key liberal philosophy to give a free dinner to those who have money to donate instead of to those who have no money?

...he doesn't make me sick to my stomach, either, but he does make my blood boil...as to picking the brain of a world leader...the OP didn't say any would be there...just you and Osbama...

...if all his speeches and actions we've watched since he started running haven't given you insight enough to "actually make a legitimate judgement on his character and personality"...you sure won't get it over dinner...I'd rather eat with a VietNam vet under his bridge in downtown Dallas and let him cook...I'd be in better company...

I would go to a dinner with Obama.

Upside: I would wear a Tea Party shirt . . . probably with campaign buttons for Romney, Perry, Cain, Bachmann, Gingrich, and even Paul.

Downside: Afterwards, I would also expect comprehensive annual IRS audits for the rest of my life and a prominent place on the No-Fly List before I left Washington.
