That's quite a fashion statement. You gotta love the desert tan combat boots with the blue serge uniform. That says, "I clash ALL the way, baby! Yo, don't be hatin' on my style, Miss Thing."

Sir, some things just ain't right...one is that punk with all those unearned medals...the second is the mental image I got trying to picture that punk saying this stuff... :nono: :
Glad to be of help.

You're right though. This guy is a pimple on the hind parts of progress.

 WoW

Given his obvious over the top display, the disheveled look as well as the mis-matched Army/Airforce medals, boots, green beret etc... His look and his dress are reminiscent of MANY of the mentally ill patients I have either transported or seen at my wifes former job. (She has a degree in psych and worked for a county mental health facility).

Im not condoning his actions per se but he appears to be a bit short on the Sanity Fruit Punch...

He appears to be: CCFCCP

CCFCCP... Coo Coo For Cocoa Puffs :eek6 :woohoo :eek6

:iagree:
I'm not ready to pile on someone who seems to be suffering from mental illness.
Is he wrong? Certainly.... But it looks like he has bigger problems than just dishonesty.
I hope he finds the help he needs.

I gotta hand it to the Drill Sergeants at Benning for not taking him to the woodline for a good ole fashion beat down.

In all seriousness I'm laughing on the inside. I'm angry, don't get me wrong, but his ludicrous choice in uniform
trumps the anger.

I wish they had a shot of the back of his Uniform blouse so I could see the rest of his decorations. He obviously ran out of room on the front.

I suspect it is more a case of stupidity + being a few bananas short of a bunch.

Seems like he is obviously stoned in the picture. I heard on a different forum that he intended to embarrass his stepfather (bad blood?) but got a more exciting reception than he expected.

I also talked with a friend who has "connections". Apparently, his detailed personnel records make it clear the guy had a strong supplemental income selling drugs while he was in the service.

Oh yeah, how does a Zoomy earn 3 count them 3 CIBs? Uh I mean how does he earn one CIB? You gotta be in the Infantry to do that if I remember from my days in service.
IIRC, USAF can earn a CIB as a pararescue, FAC (ground) and a smattering of other related disciplines. Navy corpsmen, Forward observers and the like can also. It use to be 90 days accumulated front line unit or some such. It was many years ago I even thought about it.

My step dad retired after over 30 years USAF. He had over two years worth of time at the controls of various airframes. He conducted many covert incursions into Laos dropping off and picking up ravens and flew rescue missions as well. A couple of DFCs and a SS with cluster. He has a pretty impressive fruit salad but nothing compared to this 19 yo looking kid.
