For the record, are you placing the front sight directly under your intended point of impact (target style) or directly over your intended POI (combat style)? Stock Kahr sights are intended to be used "combat" style. If you try to use them "target" style, your POI will be low every time.

Sight alignment should be like the picture on the left.

Warhammer, I must say your reply by far exceeds all others on this Thread. You even provided pics, usually worth a thousand words.

Now I hope the poster DOES try to raise his point of impact by lowering his rear sight as he stated.

Aw shucks...

Just tryin' to do my part.
BTW, I've had my K40 since 1996 and I still love it. Thinking about getting a CM9 soon.

I've become a believer in their products. I knew very little about them until just this past spring when a bunch of us met at Elm Fork in Dallas for a range day and a lunch. Someone, I forget which member it was, let me try his MK9 and it was love at first sight. I was impressed by the quality of manufacture, but I thought the all-steel gun was a little too heavy for pocket carry. But it was the quality of the trigger that sold me on the brand. After that I gave the Kahr website a pretty thorough going over and settled on the PM9, in a black finish, preferably with night sights. But MSRP on those is $958.00, so even though real world prices were likely to be less than that, I set out to try and find a used one.
I found mine at S&R Sales Pawnshop in Balch Springs, used, for $550.00 in nearly new condition and exactly what I was looking for with the black nitride coated slide and still bright Trijicon night sights. I phoned Kahr and gave them the serial number and asked if they could tell me anything about the gun. They couldn't tell me much except that it was manufactured in 2004, and it had never had any warranty repairs.
I only have two complaints about the gun. One is that Kahr doesn't extend the warranty beyond the original owner. The other is that I've recently discovered that the magazine is sometimes partially ejected when I remove the gun at the end of the day. This happens whether I carry it in my pocket, or in the holster I bought from Kahr for it. The magazine isn't really sticking out; it just isn't locked into place any longer.
I suspect that it might not like that I top off the magazine after chambering the first round, so I'm going to try, beginning today, carrying it with just 5 in the magazine instead of topping it off to six. My wife's CW9, which has a "1 round more" extra grip length never exhibits this trait, so I just think that the smaller PM9 grip frame doesn't allow room for that extra bit of spring compression that comes with topping off the magazine.
We'll see. In any case, I was giving serious consideration to picking up a G36, but after having purchased two Kahrs and being pretty satisfied with both, I think I'm going to buy a CW45 instead.

I've never had that issue with my K40, but then I don't pocket carry it. Do you think the mag is pushing itself free due to spring pressure, or you are inadvertantly pushing the mag relase while the gun is in your pocket? Maybe a holster that covers/protects the mag release would fix that issue.

Both of my holsters cover the mag release button. But, I am left handed, so it may simply be that it gets inadvertently pressed because it is facing outward. OTH, it could just be spring pressure. The 7 round spare mag that came with the gun doesn't seem to compress the spring as tightly when topped off, and it doesn't get released.....or at least, that was my experience today.

I'll have to pay attention to that when I get my CM9, as pocket carry is going to be it's intended purpose. Right now, my K40 is my prefered IWB gun, and my PT145 pulls OWB duty. I'll be getting it by the end of November, so I can take advantage of Khar's offer of a free 7 round mag with purchase.

I've pocket carried it for a few days now with the 7 end mag inserted, and it hasn't popped out like the 6 round mag does.

TAM, just a thought, but I wonder if you have a defective 6 round mag. It might be worth a call to Kahr to see if they'll replace it for you... Never hurts to ask.

Could be. It never fails to function reliably while shooting. I'll try giving them a call.
